The date syrup is even better and thicker than last time I bought it but the container is FAR worse. Last time we had a large container with a lid so it was easy to pour into smaller bottles. This time we received a bucket with a plastic bag inside full of syrup. The bag is covered in syrup inside and out. Its a complete mess and there is no easy way to fill smaller bottles. I have to stand there spooning it out bit by bit whilst getting date syrup over my hand and arm. I still have the large containers with lids from last time but there is no way to get the syrup from these thin plastic bags into the old containers either.

Brilliant date syrup! Great price (I couldn't keep buying small squeezy bottles) Flavour is sweet, slightly prune like on it's own but in porridge or even pasta sauce just adds a brilliant rich flavour that feels almost like cheating (though this stuff is actually healthy as the fibre is still attached so blood sugar doesn't spike like sugar would) Ketchup bottles work really well.
